Egg Drop 2016

Students in Mr. Colbert's Science classes competed in the annual egg drop competition in which students were assigned to design a container to protect an egg from breaking when dropped on concrete. Students were scored on survival and distance to a target on the ground. Congratulations to the 2016 Egg Drop Champion Christian T!

Science Update - Rube Goldberg

Students in Mr. Colbert's science classes designed and built a Rube Goldberg Machine based on physics concepts learned in class. Students had to incorporate at least 5 simple machines in their design to accomplish a very simple task in complex way. Below are examples from Josiah W and Katie F.

Metric Open Champion!

The annual Metric Golf Open was held in Mr. Colbert's science classes.  Students had to measure each shot in a metric unit and then convert to other measurements in the SI system to get their final score.  Congrats to Brynn C. the 2015 Metric Open Champion!
